Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is Stellaris?

Stellaris is a made-to-order footwear brand built around the twelve zodiac archetypes. Each shoe in the collection is designed from the ground up around the distinct character of its sign—not as surface decoration, but as the foundation of every design decision. Every pair is also custom-made to your individual foot measurements, so what you receive is built specifically for you.

Do I need to believe in astrology to wear Stellaris?

No. Astrology is the starting point for the design process, not a prerequisite for wearing the shoes. If you connect with the energy of a design, that is enough. Many people are drawn to a sign that is not their sun sign—it may be a moon sign, a rising sign, or simply the archetype that resonates most with who they are or how they want to move through the world.

Can I wear a zodiac sign that is not mine?

Yes, and many people do. The collection was built around the understanding that identity is layered, not fixed. Your sun sign is one expression of who you are, not the only one. If Scorpio speaks to something in you, wear Scorpio.

This is what we mean by uniformity in diversity: one world, twelve identities, all of them available to you.

Why build a collection around the zodiac?

Because the zodiac has given people a precise language for human character that has persisted across unconnected cultures for thousands of years. That kind of durability points to something real. We are not making claims about destiny; we are using one of the oldest shared frameworks for identity to build footwear that carries meaning beyond the visual.

Design

How were the designs developed?

Each shoe started with a close study of its archetype—not the simplified version, but the full character: the contradictions, the tensions, and the way a sign actually shows up in the world versus how it is often described. From there, every design element—silhouette, material, finish, proportion, and detail—was built to carry that specific energy. Nothing in the collection is accidental. If it is on the shoe, it is there for a reason.

What makes Stellaris different from other footwear brands?

Two things together, which is unusual. First, every pair is designed around a distinct identity archetype—not just aesthetically, but conceptually from the ground up. Second, every pair is made to order and custom-made to your foot measurements. Most brands do one or the other. Stellaris does both, and they are connected: a shoe built around your identity should also be built around your body.

What materials are used?

Full material details are listed on each individual product page. Our standard is that every material earns its place in how it looks, how it feels, and how it holds up over time.

Are the shoes comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes. Wearability was a non-negotiable in the construction of every shoe in the collection. And because your pair is built from your actual foot measurements rather than a standard size, the fit is precise in a way that off-the-shelf footwear cannot be.

How do I care for my Stellaris shoes?

Care instructions are included with each pair and listed on the product pages. Following them is the simplest way to protect something that was made specifically for you.

The Foot Scan

What is a foot scan and why is it required?

Every Stellaris pair is custom-made to your foot measurements, not a standard size. The foot scan captures the exact dimensions your pair is built around. Without it, production cannot begin.

The scan is completed digitally after your order is placed. Instructions are sent to you by email. The process takes just a few minutes and requires nothing more than your phone.

How do I complete my foot scan?

After placing your order, you will receive an email with step-by-step instructions. The scan is completed through the Zellerfeld app. Zellerfeld is the technology partner and current manufacturer that produces every Stellaris pair. Follow the instructions carefully—an accurate scan means a better-fitting shoe.

What if I have trouble completing my foot scan?

Contact us at support@stellarisfootwear.com, and we will help you through it. Getting the scan right matters for your fit and for getting your order into production without delay.

Orders & Shipping

How long does it take to receive my order?

Once your foot scan has been received and approved, production typically takes 3 to 4 weeks. After that, your pair ships directly to you with tracking. Total time from scan completion to delivery is approximately 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your location.

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide. Fulfillment is handled from Austin, Texas, or Hamburg, Germany, depending on destination.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is complimentary to customers in the United States and European Union. All other countries are charged a flat shipping fee of $20.

Will I be charged customs or import fees?

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or local fees. These are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your country's import regulations before purchasing.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Tracking information is sent to you by email once your pair has shipped.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

Contact us at support@stellarisfootwear.com as soon as possible. Please ensure your address is accurate at checkout; incorrect addresses can result in returns, delays, or additional fees.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Because every Stellaris pair is custom-made to your individual foot measurements, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, color preference, or sizing concerns.

This is a direct consequence of how the product is made. Your pair does not exist before you order it. It is built specifically for you and cannot be restocked or resold.

What if my pair arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?

Contact us within 10 days of delivery at support@stellarisfootwear.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos. We review every claim individually and work with Zellerfeld, our current manufacturer, to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement or refund where applicable.

What counts as a production defect?

A production defect is a manufacturing fault in the shoe, such as structural issues, material failures, or finish problems that were not caused by wear or use. Our aim is that every pair that leaves production meets our standards. If yours does not, we want to know about it.

What payment methods do you accept?
